BaNL DEMO released!

Postby Lyla2284 » Wed Sep 8, '10, 2:03 pm

Finally, after months of waiting, the brand new demo for Phantasy Star: Beneath a New Light is avaliable for public release. This topic is dedicated solely to troubleshooting, bug reports and any errors you may encounter. And of course, the game download. Be sure to free up some space on your HD, for this game is around 128mb in size.

To run this game, you will first need to grab a copy of RPGMaker XP. This game is not stand-alone and cannot run without this program installed on your PC. The program itself is only 29mb in size. You will also need to install several fonts on your PC for the message displays, menu information and damage display to appear.

RPGMaker XP download:

MAIN DOWNLOAD:

Test 002. Please DL this crucial file as well!

Please enjoy the game and feel free to leave feedback so I can make this project even better.

Lyla, OK downloaded your Demo and I'm having some problems from the start.

The initial screen asking you to press "Start" and then "New Game" are missing their graphic resources so all I can see are the words and the missing graphics Icon.

Also once past the intro the game starts and I have a screen with Alys and a bunch of missing Graphics Icons Screen Shots Below

Also can not seem to skip the Intro through selection both choices play it all the way through.

Thanks

I experienced the same problem as vontrapp, but I thought that it was because I hastily installed XP and its RTP on this Vista to try it. I thought it shouldn't happen on my own comp.

Thanks Atlin,

It's just like the custom tilesets just didn't make into the compression part.

Well that's all it is. You'll just have to wait until she gets the re-compressed version uploaded later. That'll take care of it. :)

It's only to be expected :). There are no "Data" and "Graphics" files in the package. Also, Lyla2284, it would be nice if you considered putting the *.rxproj file of the game as well. It's gonna make debugging a whole lot easier :).
Other than that, I can't wait to see the whole game ^^. I am a fan of the PS IV game for -like- ever ^^. Just a liiitle bit more of waiting... :D

Unfortunately there has been an incident where someone had taken content from the game without her permission, so don't expect the project file to appear. It's only fair she keeps that to herself.
