Server upgrades

So last night, the web hosting company I use decided to make some server upgrades without advance notice. That caused some things around the site to break due to software incompatibilities.

Registration is back, CAPTCHA fixed

For a loooong time, registration on the boards has been disabled because software changes to the site's server broke the anti-spam confirmation images. I have (finally) found an easy fix for this, so registration is now available again. This also impacted the anti-spam confirmation images on the contact form and repeated login failures, so those are now fixed as well.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy 22nd anniversary, Fringes of Algo! Today marks 22 years since this site was first brought online. I can't believe it has been so long or how much the site has grown. We've got over 105,000 posts in over 11,000 topics! Not bad at all for a small fan site that started out as a Geocities page, don't you think?
