Server upgrades
So last night, the web hosting company I use decided to make some server upgrades without advance notice. That caused some things around the site to break due to software incompatibilities.

Some people trying to register for the site have told me that there have been errors, and cannot register, and that they have contacted administrators but no response.

Please do let me know (here in the shoutbox is fine) if you continue getting the 503 errors. If you do, then I'll need to try some other fix.

I have blocked a spider that was hitting the site and visiting many pages multiple times tonight. I'll continue to keep an eye on things over the next few days.

Bandwidth usage has spiked over the past couple of days. Someone's probably trying a DDoS attack on the site. I'm looking into it.
