All the characters above have complete spritesheets. Still have a ton more to do... >< And I'm adding some new sprites as well, since I was shocked to see how limited PS4's sprite selection was.
I'll upload a video in due time showcasing some new stuff.

@PSJ: I'd better watch myself then, hey? And pm me if you need any help with spriting. I'm getting pretty good at it, if I say so myself.

@Areku (can I call you areku?) Above is a visual indication of what my chars should look like. I can't wait to see what you have planned for the artwork. Welcome aboard my team.

@Lyla: It will probably be a very long time before I ask you for help with spriting, im nowhere close to start proper spriting for my game. My spriting is just basic and im still in the stages of forming the PS3 story so it makes sense. Im also pretty amaturistic at programming.

Notice anything different from the world map? I used a script called Mode7 to add depth to the world maps.

And I found the perfect theme song for Alys as well. I love this song so much and it made me cry... I'm sure everyone will recognize it. It perfectly sums up what Alys goes through after Chaz dies... It's from one of the best bands in the world. Green Day. They also have excellent theme songs for Alis and Chaz as well.

Very, VERY nice world maps, Lyla. The change seems to be very subtle, but once I started noticing it I really noticed it. I should look at this shot then at another from before you made this change to compare side-by-side.

I have a question...you can see the battles on the world map. Do they move around at all? Like...will they chase the party, or run away or anything like that?

It took me a minute to realize what was different about the map here. I really like the change, though. One of my minor pet peeves with the Phantasy Star games were how flat the worlds felt. I've always liked world maps with an actual horizon like this.

The enemies do move around on the world maps, but the player can choose whether or nor to do battle with them. And here's a screen of one of my old overworld maps, so you can compare them.


Now you should be able to see the difference.

You're doin' things Earthbound style (with the exception of not having different overworld sprites for different enemies). I support that 100%.

Awesome, thanks for the old screen. Yeah, that's QUITE a bit of improvement there, well done. And I mean the map itself AND the aesthetic difference with the new sprites, looks so much better. Always helps to be able to do a more or less side-by-side comparison.

That's looks really awesome^^ reminds me of the FF3 world map. And yes, Lyla, Areku is fine
