I never pictured Alys as a drinker. More of someone who just picks fights in bars for the sport of it.

None of that, I'm afraid. She may be a bit of a drinker, but never gets rip-roaring drunk. I shudder to think what she might get up to...

Anyway, a pleasant little surprise I've been working on...

The sprites will appear like this in the final version of the game. They look much better now, and are better proportioned. I have a ton of spriting work ahead, but it will be worth it. Darkil will be thrilled to see this. He was the one who wanted normal sized heads on my sprites, and I quite agree with him.

I like those sprites much better too. It will make the game feel like a more authentic Phantasy Star experience.

Here's Alys' full sprite template and Chaz's completed walking sprite.

She still needs a bit of touching up, but her walking animation is exactly like in the original. Did anyone notice the PSIV characters actually had their own unique way of walking? I couldn't help laughing every time Demi walked. :lol:

I still need to format Shorty, and he'll be good to go. Hahn and Rune are next on my list. Dead easy to do, if you ask me.

@PSjunkie: I'm self-taught in what I do, and it took hour upon countless hour to get to where I am now. But I could give you a few pointers. Just PM me. :wink:

Hello. I just saw this today and I have to say I'm really happy and surprise with what you're doing. This game is very dear to me and I would love to play the new version you're making^^
The graphics and the story look amazing.
If it's no problem with you, i would love to help you with at least the cover art of the game. It would be the least that I could do.
