The "Forbidden Zone" avatar? That's a reference from Planet of the Apes. I thought the earthmen's leader looked like one of the apes. Dr. Zaius, maybe.Tsunami wrote:I love the avatars, especially the Laya one~ But I have a question; is that last avatar referencing "Oh Brother Where Art Thou"? 'Cause it reminds me of a line from that. =p
Never saw that movie. I have a huge list of films to see still, haha.Tanith wrote:The "Forbidden Zone" avatar? That's a reference from Planet of the Apes. Oh, me too. I haven't seen O Brother, Where Art Thou? and now you've made me curious. I actually prefer the book (Planet of the Apes) to any of the movies, though the original movie is well done. There are some notable differences from the novel, but that's typical with movie adaptions. Don't bother with the Mark Wahlberg remake movie that came out about 10 years ago; it's terrible.Tsunami wrote:Never saw that movie. I have a huge list of films to see still, haha.

Yeah, I think he even won a Golden Globe for his performance in that movie. I should watch it, since I'm a big fan of mythology and the movie is based on The Odyssey. However, I haven't watched it because I don't like folk music very much. I appreciate it and its place in American history, but I find it hard to listen to (and I even live in Appalachia).Silver_Surfer1 wrote:I've seen the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" movie, I think. Isn't that the one starring George Clooney?

Which one do you like? I have a wide-screen monitor, so I think the top one from the right might be different for me.
I should make some more. I need to practice with Photoshop.
