Oh trust me, I don't think you're crazy at all.
It's like I said, different strokes for different folks. Really, I wish was in a position where financially, it was pretty easy for me to get any gaming equipment I could possibly want and cover all my bases. But it's just not possible at all for me, so I have to choose. And I don't consider my choice to favor Sony as objectively 'better'…it's just the choice I've made based on my preferences and what I'm able to afford. And even then, I like to get games cheap as much as I can. I hate missing stuff I might enjoy too, but that's just the reality I'm in because I don't have the resources to get it all, and I accept it. But I also hate letting TOO many things pile up unplayed (or unread…the stack of books next to my desk is UNREAL, lol, and that doesn't even account for what's on my kindle), so I think even if I could afford to get more consoles/PC games/handhelds, I'd have more things piling up unplayed and feel bad about that, lol. So I've found a balance where I get as much enjoyment as I can, keep my pile under some form of control, and accept what I miss. Generally, I'm happy with my gaming life as it is. Sure, it could be better, but I find it a lot more fulfilling to accept what I have and enjoy that, than get too hung up on what I can't have at this time…or get into pointless console wars online. Play what you love, all there is to it.
I find console wars stuff pretty pointless and it's turned me off plenty of forums. It really does just come down to personal preference, you just can't objectively say console X is superior to console Y. I've tried PC gaming and I just can't get into it, but my boyfriend loves PC gaming and I think that's just fine. Same goes for handhelds - just not my thing, but I'm sure not going to knock on it beyond that because so many people enjoy it. I personally like consoles best and Sony is my personal winner, but I'm not going to pretend Sony is perfect and XBox is terrible, nor sit back and pretend that my preference is some objectively provable fact for everyone.
