Lucky foods for New Year's

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Fri Jan 1, '21, 8:16 am

What are some of the foods you will be eating for luck on New Year's Day?

Many areas of the country have certain special foods that many people eat on New Year's Day to hopefully help bring them luck throughout the coming New Year. Find out what some of the foods are in the article below:

As for my family we will be having the traditional Blackeye Peas, Turnip Greens, Yams, Cornbread, and Cubed Steak that we usually always have. Also have fixed some fried and Barbecued Chicken.

Not really in the mood for much to eat today so I will be taking it easy and eating much lighter. Possibly a meat dish and a vegetable but none of the traditional foods for this day. Hope my luck will still be good in the new year, lol.

A sort of traditional New Year's dinner today. Cornbread and cornbread dressing, Turnip Greens, Black-eye Peas, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Ham and Fried Chicken for those that do not like Ham. Yummy!
