Obviously it is the terrain of a planet, but exactly which is left open to the viewer's interpretation. Are these the icy, snow covered crags of Dezoris? The sand blasted mountains of Motavia? Or perhaps these are slumbering volcanic spires on Palma? The text on the page is of no help, as it speaks of the developer's creation process for Dark Force.
