When Rhys sets out on his journey to find Maia, he is sure she has been taken by servants of Laya, Orakio's ancient enemy. I wonder how he felt - going through all that to find that his bride to be is likely a descendent of Laya, just as Rhys himself is of Orakio's bloodline.
