This is an example of a typical battle from Phantasy Star Portable. It is very much the same style used in Phantasy Star Universe - the central character even looks a bit like that game's protagonist. This is from the Japanese version clearly, but we can no doubt expect to see these foes in the upcoming US and European versions as well.
