Following the encounter with Zio and the Black Energy Wave, Rika attempts to heal Alys. As we know from Phantasy Star IV, the evil that now infests Alys' body cannot be removed by normal techniques like Gires. This is Alys' last appearance in a Xing Zhan Qing Yuan cutscene (until the Elsydeon sequence, perhaps) and the best rendition of her face. Rika's face, on the other hand, is absolutely horrid.
