When Alshline is applied to his stony form, Holt and all the people of Zema are restored to normal. Here we can see that he begins to break free of his rocky prison. Notice that one side of his face is covered in grey, indicating that stone is still present there, but the other side is not, meaning the stone already broke off there. This is important for the next scene, "Cracking Stone, Part 2."
