In the pirate games, no one has normal eyes. Instead they have these huge black orbs, lacking any whites. This is another example of Alys and Chaz having the same hair color, too. Their headbands are gone, along with Hahn, who was in the Phantasy Star IV scene this is based on. I love Gryz's expression here, though.

This image also tries out a new border style for the cutscenes - the third style so far. They just couldn't pick one and stick with it.
