The long, long struggle of ancient times finally ended...

Now we're getting into the ending sequence of Phantasy Star IV, which is extraordinarily long for a 16 bit game. The Profound Darkness is defeated at last, with our heroes victorious. They are still in danger, though, as the pocket dimension they were battling in begins to collapse. Wren comments that he senses a time warp. That is perhaps one out the developers gave themselves for creating another game set in Algo. Perhaps it was an attempt by the Profound Darkness, or even just a Dark Force, to escape. Perhaps not... we may never know.
