Pana is the little sister of Gryz and one of the only two survivors of Zio's attack on the Native Motavian town of Molcum. As their home burned to the ground, the pair fled to Tonoe, where they resided with Grandfather Dorin. Pana remained there, patiently waiting for the day Gryz would return and Algo was safe from Zio's evil.
