Many scenes in Phantasy Star IV show characters long before the player actually encounters those people. These foreshadowing scenes often obscure the faces with shadows. That is the case with this scene, shown when the computer Seed first mentions Demi. Demi has been captured by Zio and is held in his fortress. Seed asks the team of heroes (Alys, Chaz, Hahn, and Gryz) to rescue Demi so that she can restore the normal functions of Motavia's remaining climate control systems.
