After navigating the maze of the Bio-plant, Alys and friends have located the artificial intelligence that controls the genetic research facility. Seed, the two thousand year old computer system, once controlled the operations of the ancient machinery. He has lost that control due to Zio's takeover of Nurvus, another facility from the same time period as Seed's own. Now he asks the heroes to travel there and free Nurvus from the evil grip that holds it fast. Seed also asks them to take Rika, his daughter, along to help. After a short explanation of Rika's origins, Alys agrees to take the young girl under her wing.
