After accompanying Alys, Chaz, and Hahn to the native Motavian village Tonoe, Rune Walsh takes his leave of the group. He says he has business elsewhere, but does not reveal the nature of it. Grandfather Dorin, the village elder, leaves with the mysterious wizard. After a parting shot at Chaz's height, Rune warns the young hunter to avoid taking on Zio. What Rune neglects to mention is that Zio cannot be defeated without an item Rune is planning to fetch. Perhaps if had included that tidbit, his warning might have been taken more seriously.
