This title screen is quite different than that of the original Phantasy Star II. The symbolism of the three planets of Algo and the two mysterious women dropped has been replaced with a standard character collage. The coloring of the characters is quite odd, as well. Several of them, like Kain, Rudo, or Anna, look as though they have sunburns on their faces. As you can see from the screen, Phantasy Star generation:2 also includes the original Mega Drive game.
