This is the status screen portrait of Alys Brangwin, the Eight Stroke Warrior. Alys appears to have a much darker tan here than in cutscenes. Perhaps this is meant to be an older picture, like one would find on a driver's license (Hunters are probably licensed by the Hunter's Guild, even in Phantasy Star IV), or the lighting is simply different. Whatever the reason, it changes the look of her face quite a bit.
