The introduction sequence of Phantasy Star III relates the story of Laya and Orakio, legendary figures that lived a millennium before the game's events. Each of them led a group of Palman survivors as war raged between the factions aboard the Alisa III. In this scene, the two meet on the battlefield. Brave Orakio takes a stance with his black bladed sword while beautiful Laya stands ready to draw her bow. We can only speculate if they came to blows here or if this is the instance when they made peace, finally realizing that both had been duped in fighting.
