Noah's former teacher is a man of many names. Identified as both Tarzimal and Tajim during the course of Phantasy Star, he is found secluded away in a cave. Given that his student also hid away in a monster infested cavern, we can theorize that this might have been a habit of the early Espers. This old man is about half the height of most other characters in the game. When Noah comes visiting, the master challenges the student to one final test. Only by defeating Tajim can Noah prove he has reached mastery in the Esper arts.
