Alis' determination to avenge the death of her brother is made visible to us by the aura of anger and grief that surrounds her in this illustration. The artwork comes from page #9 of the Japanese Master System instruction manual of Phantasy Star. The booklet features a short, four page prologue to the story of the game. The prologue relates the tale of Nero's demise and his final words to Alis, ending with this drawing.
