This grimace appears on Odin's face as a response to Lutz's introduction of himself. I'm not sure what Lutz has said, but it certainly provokes an expressive reaction in all the members of the adventuring party. Odin even raises an eyebrow, as if he can't believe what he just heard.

In Phantasy Star generation 1, many of the cut scene sequences attempt to mimic the sequential, comic book style scenes in Phantasy Star IV. This scene is part of a series that appears by sliding in from the edges of the screen, covering a previous scene in the process. Usually this works very well; the individual scenes come together to form a full picture that completely covers the old scene.
