Image of the Day - June 27, 2012

In the thousand years that passed between the story of Phantasy Star II and its predecessor, technology improved in many areas. Medicine is one field that progressed greatly. Remedies for poison are now available in these tubes. The design suggests that the two small protrusions near the bottom might function as an injection system. Surely this would make applying the curative compound to an afflicted ally an easier process.

Today we begin a series of Featured Images that will take us back to the Phantasy Star Complete Collection for a look at some selected images from the Phantasy Star II Japanese manual, which is included in the disc's galleries. I've recently discovered a method of extracting images from the game in a much higher resolution than what the PlayStation 2 system will display, so we may also revisit some previous artwork from the collection to replace the old, smaller images.
