This is the cover of The Art of Video Games - From Pac-Man to Mass Effect, the companion book to the Smithsonian American Art Museum exhibit. It is very simple in composition, but also quite effective. Few video game characters are as iconic in American culture as Blinky, the red ghost who chased Pac-Man across arcade screens. Although most people may not know his name, almost anyone who sees the ghost will instantly recognize the book is about games. I, for one, would have like a Phantasy Star character on there, but I can't fault the designer for this approach.
