One of the longest running traditions of the Phantasy Star series returns in Phantasy Star generation 1: the hidden shortcake shop. On the fourth level of a cave north of Camineet, this baker runs a store selling many different pastries. You can see a few behind him, but off the sides are other varieties of whole cakes, cake slices, and even croissants. When Alis, Odin and Myau arrive, they appear to be interrupting the baker in the middle of whipping up another confection. Regardless, he is happy to sell them the shortcake required to see the Governor of Paseo.
