It is rather rare to see the various techniques of the Phantasy Star games represented in official artwork. One of the earliest pieces to display a tech is this example, where we can see Rolf in the midst of calling up one of his special powers. Exactly which tech is being used is unclear, but the display is certainly impressive regardless. The brightness of the lightning bathes everything around, casting a yellow glow that obscures the blue and silver Rolf normally wears.
