This battlefield meeting of Orakio and Laya is often used to represent the long history involved in the story of Phantasy Star III. The sepia tones make the artwork resemble an old, faded photograph. This parallels the manner in which the inhabitants of the Alisa III world ship have forgotten the true the nature of the conflict between these great leaders. Even so, both look like formidable warriors here. This battle would no doubt have been one of legend.
