This scene provides one of the earliest unique looks at the frozen world of Dezoris, as it appears in Phantasy Star IV. This game marked the first time that the planet did not share graphics with Palma or Motavia. The increased capacity of the 24 meg cartridge allowed the designers to craft a more unique environment instead of relying on the image recoloring techniques used in previous games.
