As Hugh continues to explore the lower reaches of Kvarts Academy in search of his run away plant experiment, he finds himself facing this sight. Massive tentacles, described as thicker than the waist of an adult human, have breached a wall and now block further passage. Hugh must attack these appendages of the plant, doing enough damage to force them to retreat back into the wall. During this first encounter, the tentacles are named "Crazy Wire." The scene is used again for more tentacle encounters later in the game, but the name "Crazy Wire" is applied only on this first set.
