This set of sketches provides us with more facial expressions for Rune Walsh, which the designers of Phantasy Star IV drew as practice and references for the character. Also presented is a full body sketch that may remind some of the anime Dragon Ball Z. Rune appears to be in a "powering up" stance similar to characters in that show, complete with floating cape and hair. One almost wonders if his hair is about to become yellow. These are all based on an early design for Rune, when he wore a turtleneck instead of the white trimmed collar used in the game.
