Rune appears briefly during the beginning and ending scenes of Phantasy Star Memorial Drama CD. Those scenes provide an introduction and epilogue to the main story. Rune has no presence in the main narrative, but provides a vehicle for that tale to unfold. Using his magic, Rune unlocks suppressed memories that linger deep in Chaz's mind. These memories reveal the events that occurred when Chaz met Nei three years previously.
