Chaz, carrying the legendary sword Elsydeon, appears here to represent the prologue and epilogue of Phantasy Star Memorial Drama CD. Those portions of the story take place during Phantasy Star IV, but after the revelations of Rune's connection to Lutz and the secrets of the sword. So, during those parts of the story, Chaz would have Elsydeon at hand, even though the sword itself is not mentioned in the story. It is rare to see the sword in a sheath, as it is pictured here. In the game, we were only able to see the drawn blade.
