Imagine what it must have been like for Rune, secretly the heir to the legendary wizard Lutz, to watch as Alys was slowly killed by Zio's Black Energy Wave. Even with all his great power, he could do nothing to save his dear friend from the ravages of the dark power. Not even Lutz can save everyone.

Poor Rune, he probably knew what would happen as soon as he heard about Alys getting hit with the black energy. It's a real Superman complex, having all that vast magic power but not being able to do anything.
