I played it because I saw an article in a french "mook" (don't know if this word is used in english) which is edited 4 or 5 times a year about it and the link between athena Asamiya and this game.
PS : About the songs, there is an english and japanese version !

Yes there is an English and Japanese version of the song played during Psycho Soldier. I prefer the English version for obvious reasons. Also apparently Psycho Soldier was the very first game to ever include vocals in its soundtrack.

If I recall, I prefer the japanese version because she seems more well made but that's just my impression :)
Great performance if that's the first one.

Just finished Shining Force (on Sonic's Untimate Genesis Collection for PS3)
I've played that game no less than a dozen times and it's still one of the greatest games I know :)

I finished Shining Force 2 recently on Sonics Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection for Xbox360. I did the whole game Solo with Sarah. I thought it would be a challenge, but it ended up being easier than I thought. The only snag was fighting Lemon with his desoul attack.

I remember when I found out how easy it is to over-level Sarah, she ended up being level 82 by the end of the game >_>
Did you have her a Vicar or Master Monk?

I went Master Monk, but I'm not even sure it would've mattered. I was level 99 by the time I reached the Odd Eye fight. I think any character could solo at that level, but most characters can't level up as easily as the healers can.

Level 99 with Sarah ?? Whaou ! True that healers are easy to "promote". The desoul attack is indeed a plea for all the characters... :(

I've been getting back into SNES lately, so I've been playing stuff like Donkey Kong Country 1-3 and whatnot. And after watching an Angry Video Game Nerd video, I thought I'd make a playthrough of a weird little game he reviewed called Lester the Unlikely. It's about some wimpy kid who needs to find his way home after getting stranded on an island. It's not that great of a game, but you might get a few laughs from Lester's awkwardness.

Ah the Angry Video Game Nerdz ! I know him and his videos about very very bad games : cool videos. In France we have someone who is more or less in the same way, and he called himself le "joueur du grenier" or the "Attic's player" in english :) If you can see it on youtube : even if it's in french, it's funny and a lot of things might be comprehensible !

My last retro game was yesterday evening, just before going to sleep, Ganbare goemon on the snes : never tried, a bit hard in japanese but cool !
