The heroes' party has arrived to Dezolis, but they were not prepared for the intense cold they found there.

Now they have to resort to fire spells to stay warm. And alive. :blank:

Wow. I think this is one of your best ones so far. Nice job on the slightly overhead-ish (sorry, not good with terms here) angle.

Yeah, this was a nice use of angled perspective. I wouldn't even have noticed that unless you had pointed it out, ha ha.

Thank you! I also had to go back and see my own pic to really get the angle thing.

I would be more aware of it in a pic where I focused only on a forced perspective (like the following one).

But in this I guess I just focused on the hands casting the techniques, and everything else came just like that.

And just like digital coloring lets me do things I cannot do with pencils, the opposite is also true. Was it the colors you liked, Tanith? Or was it the fact this is the most "action" I have used in any of the PS pics I have drawn?

I may have to draw some battle scenes, perhaps. I will just wait for the book I bought to arrive, so I get better references for the enemies (the way they are seen from the front in PS II does not help at all).

I do like the oversaturated colors you use, because they're just like the they are in the game, and I also like the motion here (i.e. the wind and snow). But what I like best (besides the angle) is Kain's expression. Hugh, too, to an extent, but there's just something about Kain here... he looks mature. Yeah, I think that's what it is.

Thanks! I saw Kainz as someone who may goof off about this a little (like, pretend to like men perhaps for a few seconds), but who would not let his masculinity be "damaged" if things got serious (kind of like a college student, I suppose: they may joke, but they will never let any doubt exist that they are "real men").

However, faced with his own mortality here (and maybe for good this time), if someone were to point out the fact his and Huey's bodies are completely touching each other, I think he would be like "see if I care".

I wanted Huey and Kainz to be in a really uncomfortable position (more so if they are usually worried about their image, but, even if not, it should be an objectively awkward pose), which would be contrasted by Shilka's in the background. No points for her expression? She looks so happy!

So, definitely more mature a few minutes before they all die.

And did you notice that no two snowflakes are the same? I designed each one myself. Just kidding.

I had not thought about the colors like that. I must like colors to look this way, and that may be a reason why I like PS II (besides its focus on Sci-Fi). :starry-eyed:

Excellent artwork!! Once again the colors are spectacular. The expressions on their faces is one thing that stood out to me. Also as someone who doesn't like winter and cold weather I really like the fire, lol. I like the snow.

Thank you.

I have not been exposed to snow that much (only a couple of times, and not for many days, as it does not snow so often here), but I hate summer and hot weather, so we are the opposites in that.

I like winter, although it does not mean such extreme cold temperatures for me.
