KFC no-bun Sandwich

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Apr 6, '10, 6:10 pm

KFC has a new chicken sandwich. It has two chicken patties and no bun. It's called the "double down".

What do you think of this new sandwich?

Will you try one?

Eh, probably not. It's pretty rare for me to get anything from KFC. Even if I did, I would probably pass on this. I like some break with my sandwiches.

So the chicken patties take the role as the bread and its got bacon in it as well :blank: . Talk about heartburn afterwards. In my opinion KFC has always been kinda greasy so I don’t think I’d enjoy this all that much if this made its way over to Australia. :yuck:

O_O

I so want to try one of those! Guess they're trying to take on Hardee's for market share on guilty pleasure foods.

I don't think I will ever be able to try one of those, I would have to wait 1 year for it to be released in New Zealand. Most likely it will never be released.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not a vegetarian, but that is just way too much meat for me. I have pretty bad acid reflux as it is, so that thing would kick my butt for days if I ate one!

KFC is pretty greasy in the US, too, Lucas. It's just not good quality, not that fast food ever is, but KFC seems particularly low quality to me.

Sandwiches need bread. They just feel right that way.

That looks absolutely disgusting. Why is it I suspect The Onion's parody of KFC will one day be reality:

Greetings, everyone. I have gone and tried the Double Down Sandwich, though I had to go for the Grilled option, or be forced to wait 5 minutes longer for the original.

I give it a 6/10 overall.
It's just not an easy sandwich to eat; it NEEDS A BUN. Why couldn't they just have crammed the two things into thin pieces of bread, or something....I dunno. Bacon's nice and crisp as it should, the cheese, I think it was a Provolone, actually worked with the chicken, nice and melted. Grilled chicken itself was fair, overpowering in it's spices. They should cut back on it a bit.

Well, there's my verdict. I may go back and try the original version. But I'll wait for someone else to try it.
Greetings to you all. I am Kahrne Annabelle Lee, a Level 6 Sprite Artist.
