Heard about this. It seems some are upset, others are taking it in good stride. However, I think this commercial does show that Microsoft's marketing department didn't exactly think this one through.
I saw this and I thought it was pretty funny at first. The commercial is touting features that are not even included in the version they are advertising.
However, I did some thinking and I realized something. In Microsoft's defense, car companies do the exact same thing. In car commercials they show the features of the fully decked out car models, and then.......at the end they show the MSRP, which is usually the cheapest and most stripped down version of the car available. If you want all of the extras, you have to pay a lot more than MSRP. It's kind of the same thing that Microsoft did with the Xbox One ad. Whether it was intentional or not, I'm not sure, but it makes a little more sense when you think about it that way.

I have heard of some users of XBox live changing their display names in games to "XBoxsignout" as a way to try and troll other users. Some go a step further to "XBoxsignoutyes" in order to get it to complete the sign out command. So not quite turning the system off, but it's effectively the same when you're in a game.
It's things like this that prevent me from playing online games with random people.
