Best Movie of 2009

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Dec 5, '09, 5:15 pm

What do you think was the best movie of this year of 2009?

Take our poll above!

I heard that some group had chosen the movie "Up In The Air" as best movie. This movie stars actor George Clooney. I also heard that the same group has picked movies for the last two years and those movies have gone on to win the Oscar. So I wonder if "Up In The Air" will be an Oscar contender or winner at the next Oscar Awards!!!!!!!!

I really didn't watch all that many movies this year so I know there are a good many that I haven't even seen yet.

Anyone have any recommendations on movies to watch that were released this year?

I haven't seen half of those on the list, but for the ones I did see I'm going to go with Star Trek. Transformers was disappointing on several levels. Wolverine was okay, but had some problems of it's own. But that's pretty much the only ones I've seen in the poll. Most of the others I have little interest in seeing for one reason or another, too.

My vote will go with Star Trek. I loved Watchmen but unless you read the graphic novel, you'll have no idea what's going on and will expect something completely different than what's presented. Didn't see G.I. Joe and Transformers wasn't too bad [definitely not movie of the year though]. Wolverine was good but some things just weren't quite right.

Star Trek absolutely freakin' RULED!

Granted, I haven't even seem most of those, but...guess I'll go with Star Trek, and this is coming from a fan of TNG. 8)

I did see 2012 though. It was fun, but...if you've seen The Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day, or Godzilla, then you've seen 2012.

Not a big movie fan and I vote for none of these. However...the very INSTANT there's a rifftrax for 2012, I am watching 2012 with rifftrax. Granted, if I watched it, I could probably hear the riffing anyway.
