I don't think I've heard of this particular kind of cat before now, but I'm glad to hear that this new group was found. It's always great when an endangered species has a chance at thriving somewhere.
I have to confess, when I first read the name, I was expecting the cats to be white.
I suppose the name just comes from their habitat. In a way, they remind me of Musk Cats. In PSIV, those felines lived in snowy seclusion, too.
