Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

Some of you may have heard of this series for the SMS.
I remember playing it in my childhood... it was actually my very first gaming experience. I remember... crawling out of bed.. dead of night.. through to the living room.. and turning on the game Wonder Boy 3, and flying around as Hawk-Man. The music and Hawk-Man stayed with me .. for years.. some time after, I gave away my cartridge of Wonder Boy 3 to some.. school club.. I wish I hadn't, but it was just gathering dust.. at the time I didn't know any better..

Recently, I re-discovered the game through emulation. Hawk-Man wasn't quite how I remembered him, but the music was nostalgic.

... so.. uh.. right.. Anyone else played any of the Wonder Boy games? :3

That's another series I missed out on. I never had an SMS, so I never played most games for it. I've emulated a few, but never Wonder Boy. I've heard only good things about it, though.

That's a real shame, but .. luckily with emulation you don't have to miss out.. xD

It uses a password system, as did most games back in the day.
So.. be sure to have either the screen shot button, or pen and paper handy.

Like River City Ransom for the NES. Those 50 character passwords nearly killed that awesome game!

I never heard of it until a couple of years ago, so don't feel bad.

It uses a password system, as did most games back in the day.

Argh! I always hated those password systems. Especially the really long ones.
