Am I the only one on this discussion board who is following Flashforward? The rest of you don't know what you're missing. Since returning from its extended hiatus, the series has taken on a darker, grimmer tone; it's a little too violent for my taste sometimes, but the compelling plot and recurrent twists keep me watching. In the most recent episode, Mark Benford was interrogating Lloyd Simcoe, so viewers were treated to lengthy shots of two despicably good-looking actors in the same scene. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. - C. S. Lewis
