ah, I didn't know about Republic Day. Tell me something about that holiday.

So, does it rain a lot there. This is the first rain we've had in months, I think.

That is because after the Brazilian Independence, our for of government was monarchy. Only after almost 70 years monarchy fell and a presidential Republic was established. But there aren't many celebrations, just a day off.

Oh yeah, for the next 5 or 6 months, it will rain a lot.

My city is nicknamed "the city of drizzle", so you can imagine

ok. sounds interesting. A day off is pretty good. :yes: Oh..wow, that's a lot of rain, and I can see why the nickname, lol

Now it is not really warm, just average, something around 70F, but yesterday it was like 85F

Sounds good to me. We've been in the 70's, but now down to the 60's for the past few days. Colder weather is coming.

Oh yeah, after all if there is no snow, there will be no Santa :p

By the way, here we will have near 100F at the hottest hours of the day by Christmas

We rarely have snow for Christmas, but it is usually cold or quite chilly.

Well, if we ever have snow for Christmas, the world is doomed.

At least we can buy some cheap "artificial snow" :p

Christmas, we do. Nowadays more with presents than with trees. By the way we celebrate with typical winter food from US and Europe :p
