The new Street Fighter movie is in theaters now. Anyone go see it? From what I hear, it's getting really bad reviews. IGN supposedly gave it 1.5 out 5.
This does not suprise me one bit. Considering the original live Street Fighter movie was the biggest flop of 1994. I assumed this one would follow. The live movies never stick to the original Street Fighter Canon storyline. This I why I prefer watching the Street Fighter anime movies they stick to the storyline and go into detail with all the character's roles through out the story.

Many SF movies (live actions and anime) came out but there's only one I like: "The Animated Movie" ("SFII Movie" in Japan). Curiously it was the first to be released.
No, I will not see it, the first one was so cheesy that it was worth seeing, but I see no redeeming qualities in the new SF movie.
Street Fighter II The Animated Movie was the only good Street Fighter media. I didn't like the animated series, the Alpha movie was terrible and the 2nd Alpha movie was even worse.

I also prefer to stick with the animated movies, even though this movie has Michael Clarke Duncan who is one of my fav actors, I knew it would be a terrible waste of money
Is this the movie that has the actress who plays the role of Lana Lang, I think it is, in "Smallville"? If so, I'm not surprised it's not that good. Still, I will keep an open mind and perhaps see it one day probably when it comes out on DVD, though.

Well it seems like they tried to base it on Chun Li's story but took a lot of liberties. Once again it shows that if you don't follow the mythos closely, the move will bomb
