I Know that Xander but arrows, spears, polearms rendered it useless

JUst makes me wonder if lightly armored was better than heavy in certain eras

that's what they were made for though. If you drive a sharp point at something with enough force it'll go through almsot everytime

that's what arrows, spears and polearms are for

Besides, a little protection is better than none

Was full body plate or covering really worth it?

That is what I wonder

that comes down to what weapon you use and what armour you wear. if you were to wave a massive 2 handed sword around while in heavy armour you'd get nowhere

You don't kill more by wering no armour adn ahve a piddly little sword either

During the 100 years wars, many armored knights died of heart strain or when they fell from horses so heavily armored

I just wonder if those heavily armored knights were worth it

well that's a lesson history taught us

That's why they invented stilleto knives, so you could just go up to a heavily armour opponent and drive the knife in through the armour

besides, that war lasted 100 years, they didn't have a lot of time to train people for their heavy armour

True.. buf if I was a warlord, I'd go with just *, shield, sword and a spear/polearm for my units

And people weren't exactly fit either, so 2 and 2 go together to give you a physiologically weak person in something too ehavy for them to wear = dead
