It was too bare bones at release and they took too long to start adding actual things to do. Also people very quickly discovered and abused the meta game, so to speak, and then it became very unfriendly and unapproachable to newcomers and people who can't devote hours and hours to getting the absolutely best Pokemon. Kind of sad really. This had a lot of potential. Maybe they can gain it back, but I'm skeptical.
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation
