Warcraft movie

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Jun 9, '16, 10:10 pm

I have heard of the Warcraft video games, although I have never played them, so I was reading about upcoming movies and happened to see this about a "Warcraft" movie, I believe it is, that is due out in theaters this week.

Has anyone here heard anything about this "Warcraft" movie? Anyone here ever played the Warcraft video game? Anyone planning on going to see the movie?

The only thing I heard was on Podquisition and, no surprise, it is apparently trash.

Something about game-to-movie just seems to not work well.

Was watching "The Chew" earlier today on the abc channel and one of the ladies from the "Warcraft" movie was on there as their guest today. She helped prepare a food dish. They showed a brief scene from the movie and it looked interesting, although it was really too short a scene to tell much about it.

Looking at my post above, now that I think about it, movie-to-game also rarely works well.

The problem I've heard with the Warcraft movie is that it tries to take itself seriously, but doesn't earn the right to do. Not looking good for Blizzard on that front, but at least Overwatch is doing stupidly well.
