Harper Lee dies

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sun Feb 21, '16, 2:23 am

Author Harper Lee has died. She was 89. She was probably best known for her book "To Kill A Mockingbird".

I don't remember reading the book but the movie (starring actor Gregory Peck) was pretty good.

Well, yesterday, both she and Umberto Eco ("The Name of the Rose") both died. Quite sad. 2016 hasn't been kind with the deaths of famous people.

I actually remember reading both books during the course of my education. To Kill a Mockingbird sometime in high school, and it's on my list of books to re-read now that I'm many years separated from high school. The Name of the Rose I read my freshman year of college, and I intend to the same with it. Though not right now, as I just finished a book yesterday and chose a new one, and discovered four Michael Crichton novels on our shelf I have yet to read.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Play my games!
The ArrrPG - A game I made about being a pirate. This be a first draft, matey! Though it plays just fine, clap yer eyes on th' eventual Revised an' Expanded Edition and you'll be pleased, by thunder!

Nakama: A Card Game of Magical Girls - A completely un-playtested card game about being a magical girl.

Well, excuse me while I defy all laws of logic and common sense and do it anyway.
