Remembering the games of yesteryear.

Super Mario Maker

Super Mario Maker is a new game for the Wii U and will be available in September, however, you can make levels from other past Super Mario games when using it:

This looks kind of fun, especially if you are interested in creating and design, etc.

This looks pretty fun, I've been a fan of Mario games since I was around 7.

So you could pretty much fill the entire place with enemies? That would be interesting.

Only... I don't have a Wii U.

Well, I got this for Christmas and love it; it's really slowing down my Phantasy Star IV gratitude challenge.

Anyone who's into this actively who wants to share, here's my profile.

I'm especially proud of my recent Giant Kitchen level, course ID 9321-0000-01B8-87F4: supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/co ... -01B8-87F4

I haven't played SMM much, but we have it. That level is pretty amazing though, FreshFeeling. If it's okay with you, next time I log into our WiiU (since there's still no unified friend list across WiiU and 3DS) I may send you a friend request.

I don't have a Wii U. I want one just for this game.

One of my D&D buddies has this. I taught his kids how to make a Lakitu that tosses Sledge Bros. instead of Spinies. They then upped the stakes by making a Bullet Bill Launcher that shoots Sledge Bros. instead of Bullet Bills or Bullseye Bills.

My only complaint is that there aren't graphics based on Super Mario Bros. 2 (there ARE enemies; Bob-Ombs were in SMB3 and Pokeys were in SMWorld) but I think that's because they'd have to draw SMB2-style Goombas, Koopas, &c. and make the game play like Super Mario Bros. 2.

Play my games!
The ArrrPG - A game I made about being a pirate. This be a first draft, matey! Though it plays just fine, clap yer eyes on th' eventual Revised an' Expanded Edition and you'll be pleased, by thunder!

Nakama: A Card Game of Magical Girls - A completely un-playtested card game about being a magical girl.

Well, excuse me while I defy all laws of logic and common sense and do it anyway.

My boyfriend plays this more than I do and he scanned our smattering of amiibos into it. I have to say, 8-bit Dark Pit is a bit....um.....creepy?

I think it's the two-tone reddish-purple eyes.

I wish I could find a youtube video with it, but if you die with the Dark Pit skin it plays a very humorous messed-up version of the Kid Icarus death music.

I think Dark Pit is cute!

I haven't played this game myself yet. :bang: Partially because I have yet to finish Super Mario 3D land and the Super Mario for the WiiU (the one with the kitty power up). I've loved Mario, but have never been great at his games.

Well, that too, but in a very "off" kind of way, lol. At least to me. Though I will admit that the running animation his skin has in SMM is definitely cute, because he's running along desperately flapping his wings the entire time. The Pit amiibo skin is the same, just a different color.

Of course as of this writing Dark Pit is my avatar, so yeah.
